He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga, where he participated in research project in electron interaction between Gold nanoparticles and semiconductor quantum dots in an aqueous solution utilizing laser pulse techniques.

He completed his Ph.D. in Inorganic Material Chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2008, where his thesis focused on synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanoparticle. He has extensive research experiences with synthesis of various inorganic metal and metal oxide nanomaterials, Li-Ion battery materials, surface modification, nanocomposite and their applications.

Upon his graduation, he was employed at KaMin LLC as a research/Analytical chemist, mainly working on surface modification and functionalization of inorganic minerals and development of natural mineral catalyst for industrial applications.

Currently, he is working at CICenergigune as a PostDoc focusing on development of metal-air battery and solid electrolyte.
