CIC energiGUNE offers the opportunity to complete a PhD in the field of material development for Organic Redox Flow Batteries. The offer is aimed at motivated students who have good academic records and are ready to carry out a challenging and exciting 3-year applied research project in the framework of a European project. 

 

Qué ofrecemos

  • A multidisciplinary project involving experimental physical chemistry and organic synthetic chemistry is offered. The project involves the development and application of new organic electroactive materials as electrolytes in redox flow batteries.
  • Reaching scientific challenges dealing with energy density and stability will be the aim of iterative design, synthesis and electrochemical characterization of new materials considering the development of a pilot plant as final goal.
  • As a component of a complex system deep studies will be carried out regarding electrolyte-membrane-electrode compatibility.
  • The selected candidate will be part of a team of researchers working for the same project goal and will be in close collaboration with other institutions (universities and companies) in the frame of EU funded project.

 

Qué buscamos

  • We are searching for a highly motivated researcher with a Master degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or other related topics.
  • Experience in synthetic chemistry and/or electrochemistry will be positively considered.
  • The candidate should also be able to work independently and as part of a highly ambitious research team, as well as have good command of English.
  • He/she should be a good team player who can collaborate with other scientists. Highly motivated person and interested in investigation. She/he will be incorporated to a multidisciplinary team.
