Graduated in Environmental Engineering from the School of Engineering of Bilbao, in 2017. She developed in the laboratories of the university the Final Degree Work on "Production of a furanic biofuel by heterogeneous catalysis". In 2017, Amaia started the Master of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology in Leioa. During this Master, she did an internship in the Surface Chemistry and Nanotechnology unit at Tekniker, where she also developed the End-of-Master´s work entitled "Fabrication of multi-functional surfaces by combining nanostructuring with organic, inorganic and hybrid coatings".
