Mirka Stancekova obtained her degree in Chemical Engineering from Slovak University of Technology (Bratislava, Slovakia) in 2020, where she studied Polymer science and Processing technologies. For her diploma thesis, she studied new biodegradable polymer blends based on renewable resources, optimizing their properties for Injection Moulding applications using DoE, obtaining significant improvements in material properties of the new generation of these biodegradable polymer blends commercialized under the name Nonoilen. After graduation, she worked in the R&D Centre for Austrian Baby Products company MAM, investigating new materials and processing technologies for baby products and optimizing the ¨time to market¨ for new projects. She is currently working at CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician in the Cell Prototyping group.
