NEREA MARQUINEZ MARTIN

Presentation

Nerea Marquinez Martín graduated in Chemistry at the University of Burgos (2019). The Final Degree Project was developed at the same university in the Department of Organic Chemistry. The point was synthesize and characterize escuaramide-type derivatives as receptors and anion transporters, by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C and DEPT) and high-resolution mass spectrometry (ESI+). During her studies, spent 1 year at the University of Cagliari (Italy) thanks to the Erasmus+ scholarship.

In 2020, once the degree was finished, it was the moment of completing the Master in Pharmacology: Development, Evaluation and Rational Use of Medicines by the University of the Basque Country, where she developed her Master´s Thesis at the Achucarro research center "Basque Center for Neuroscience" in order to investigate the genetic variants of the TIAM-1 gene as a therapeutic target in Neuroblastoma disease.

In September 2021 she joined CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician in the group of Advanced Electrolytes and Cell Integration.
