She took her degree in Geological Sciences at the University of the Basque Country, focusing her career to research in new materials based in their crystallography structure. After, during the year 2013-2014 she studied the Master in New Materials, imparted at the University of the Basque Country in collaboration with the University of Cantabria.

Her master´s thesis has involved the synthesis and subsequent characterization of new materials for energy. Specifically in the development of new mixed valence perovskite type ABO3 (A = La, Nd, B = Co, Fe, Ni), by the glycine-nitrate combustion process, for their use as contact layers in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFC). In this way, she analyzed the influence of doping on the properties of the compounds.

She is familiar with different characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal coefficient expansion (TEC) and electrical conductivity measurements, among others.
