MARIA JAUREGUI VICENTE

Presentation

María Jáuregui obtained her bachelor degree in Geological Sciences at the University of the Basque Country, focusing on crystalline structures. After, she studied the Master in New Materials, imparted at the University of the Basque Country in collaboration with the University of Cantabria. Her MSc thesis was based on the synthesis and subsequent characterization of new materials for energy. Specifically in the development of new mixed valence perovskite type ABO3 (A = La, Nd, B = Co, Fe, Ni), by the glycine-nitrate combustion process, to be used as contact layers in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFC). Many characterization techniques were used, as x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or electrical conductivity, among others, to study the influence of the doping in the synthetized materials. Nowadays, she carries out her activity in the CIC energiGUNE, in the study and analysis of the structures and physical properties of the materials, as technician in charge of the measurement in the X-ray Diffraction Platform and Physical Properties Measurement System.
