CIC energiGUNE develops state-of-the-art energy storage technologies for electric mobility.
Future generations of electric vehicles will include batteries with high voltage cathodes, silicon anodes, solid state batteries and hybrid supercapacitors. CIC energiGUNE is the reference center in Europe for the development of solid state batteries, those that will provide electric car batteries with greater safety and higher energy densities.
CIC energiGUNE also has extensive experience in the development of hybrid supercapacitors, those that exhibit high energy density thanks to their pseudo-capacitive or faradic electrode typical of batteries and the high power density provided by the characteristic electrode of double layer supercapacitors (EDCL).
Thanks to one of the most advanced cell prototyping lines in Europe, CIC energiGUNE collaborates with its partners in the scaling and prototyping of future energy storage technologies in the field of electric mobility, also taking into account the recycling of technologies and their end of life.
