MARIA ANGELES CABAÑERO MARTINEZ

Presentation

Maria Angeles Cabañero graduated on Industrial Engineering in the Polytechnical University of Valencia in 2009. She started her career in the renewable energy sector working for two years as project manager at WIP Renewable Energies in Munich.

From 2012-2015 she worked at the research institute Fraunhofer ICT, at the electrochemical energy storage group, planning a pilot plant for the production of Li-ion batteries and future materials. She also spent two years at Fraunhofer ISC, exploring the degradation of commercial Li-ion batteries by means of electrochemical testing, CFD simulations, and post-mortem analysis.

Before joining CIC energiGUNE she worked also at Energy Storage Solutions and Exide technologies, on the development of new materials for vanadium redox flow and lead acid batteries, respectively.

In 2019 she received her PhD at the University of Ulm, under the supervision of Prof. Josef Kallo and in collaboration with the Fraunhofer ISC of Würzburg.

Currently she is working at CIC energiGUNE as postdoctoral researcher, on the development of new advanced cathodes for Li-ion batteries.
