The research center Energigune for the storage of electrochemical and thermal energy has started the research work in the European project CoFBAT.
The Basque center participates in the project along with 19 other partners from nine European countries. The consortium aims to identify advanced material solutions for safe and more durable high-capacity cobalt-free batteries for static storage applications and held its kick-off meeting in mid-November at the facilities of Belgian chemical company Solvay.
