CIC Energigune, one of the cooperative research centres promoted by Industry, has launched its first patent in the field of energy storage, despite only seven months of research in this field. The director of the centre, Jesús María Goiri, and one of his researchers, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, announced this yesterday during a visit by journalists to the facilities where some thirty researchers are looking for alternatives to storage systems, such as lithium-ion batteries, or salts for heat energy storage.
