If you want to join a young, dynamic, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team, learn from world-renowned scientists, and use state-of-the-art equipment and technology, this is your chance!

Applications are open for students from areas such as materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering, or related fields who wish to develop their research skills.

These are projects to be carried out as Master’s internships for approximately 5–6 months.

To continue with a doctoral thesis (PhD) could be a possibility.

RESEARCH AREA AND TOPICS:

Projects in the area of Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion:

  • Exploring new Na-rich cathode materials

  • Exploring Interphase and SEI Evolution in Solid-State Batteries by Ex Situ and Operando NMR

  • Computational Discovery of Iron-based Complexes for Advanced Energy Storage in Redox-Flow Batteries

  • Iron based current collectors

  • Development of a scale-up system for the electrochemical production of nanomaterials

  • SEI/ CEI methodology for alkali metal systems

Projects in the area of Thermal Energy Storage and Conversion:

  • High-temperature solid-solid Phase Change Materials

  • 3D thermal field mapping in energy storage materials using a coupled X-ray tomography and infrared thermography approach
