Afrika Olabe is a Chemical Engineering undergraduate at UPV/EHU (Leioa) with a strong interest in the energy transition and sustainable technologies.
To broaden her hands-on laboratory experience, she completed a research stay at Hasselt University (Belgium), where she worked on the synthesis and characterization of polyurethanes as part of a project on biobased building blocks.
In 2026, she join CIC energiGUNE to carry out her Bachelor’s thesis on sustainable and cost-effective iron current collectors for next-generation batteries.
