Ainara Azpiazu Altuna was graduated in chemistry in the university of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV) the year 2017. “ The determination of the organic nitrogen in eight different nourishments using the Kjeldahl method”, her final bachelor thesis, was carried out in the EHU analytical department. Subsequently, she had been working as an intern in the “Fihi forging industry” company in the material quality control section located in Iraeta (Gipuzkoa) for three months. Company in which she started to gain certain experience in materials physical-chemical analysis. Between November 2021 and May 2022 she participated in a project at Aalto University in Helsinki (Finland), in collaboration with EHU, as a part of a remunerated abroad internship where she has been hired afterward by the same university until August 2022. The aforesaid project consists of synthesising chitin-based materials and its analysis with the main goal of optimizing the process and reducing the amount of environmental impact and economic cost. Project in which she achieved much experience in some innovative techniques and the possibility of getting into the research world. In December 2022 she joined CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician for thermal energy solutions.
