Ainhoa Andrés finished her studies in Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2021. She did her final degree work in asymmetric synthesis group, developing nine-membered lactams. In 2022, she completed a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Valencia, where she developed her Master’s Thesis based on the synthesis of fluorinated pyrrolizinone derivatives through tandem reaction.
After finishing her Master´s degree, she worked for two years as a Senior Research Technician at University Institute of Materials Science (ICMUV), where she mainly worked on designing and optimizing the synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs).
She is currently working at CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician in the Organic and Hybrid Materials research group.
