Aloña Salazar received her degree in Materials Engineering by the University of the Basque Country in 2005. Previously, in 2002, she started working in the field of polymeric materials in various research projects in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the University of the Basque Country. In 2006 she completed a European Master in Nanotechnology of Polymeric Materials at the University of Perugia (Italy) and in 2007 he obtained the Advanced Studies Certificate (DEA) in Materials Engineering. Between 2008 and 2012 she worked in consultancy, managing R&D projects and in 2012 she joined Fundación CIDETEC at the Competitive Intelligence Unit, focusing on tasks of technological surveillance. From 2017, she has been in charge of the IP management at Fundación CIDETEC, being involved in all steps of the process: the definition of the most appropriate protection strategy, the management of the IP portfolio, searches, elaboration of patentability reports, support in drafting applications, preparation of Official Action responses and freedom to operate opinions an also collaborating in the negotiation, drafting and review of technology transfer agreements. In July 2021 she joined CIC energiGUNE as Head of Intellectual Property.
