With a background and degree in both Engineering and Business Administration, Andoni Ruiz has worked as a project manager for the last 9 years. In this period, he has interacted with a variety of stakeholders at several companies, from customers and suppliers to the Board of Directors. His experience includes presenting to Boards and finding solutions to problems that threatened strategic roadmaps.
His experience throughout his career is related to a wide range of technological solutions, from software and hardware development to the commercialisation of nanomaterials. He has also managed the technology partners in national and European projects.
Andoni is used to working on multiple projects simultaneously and has worked for an innovation finance consultancy and two startups. As a result, he has a global vision of what factors to take into account for scaling-up startups. His duties in startups consisted of all non-technical tasks necessary for the subsistence of the company, among others creating the Business Plan to raise funding. He often needed to: (i) conduct a comprehensive analysis of the market need for the company’s solution; (ii) provide an overview of the technology; (iii) understand the total markets, the initial markets and their trends; (iv) outline the business model where the scope had to be assessed, customer profiles, the match between customers and the value proposition offered, revenue streams, channels and customer relationships and key activities, partners and resources; (v) present a 5-year corporate development plan and (vi) conduct a financial analysis of the plan.
Currently, Andoni is a Strategic Projects Consultant in the Business Development area.
