Dr. Andrey Golov earned a master´s degree in Chemistry Science from the Samara State University (Russia) in 2014. He continued his education at the Samara National Research University, where he obtained his PhD in 2019 under Prof. Vladislav A. Blatov. His PhD thesis was devoted to developing a new algorithm based on Voronoi partition for geometrical-topological analysis of channels and cavities system in crystal structures, as well as searching for the correlations between pore descriptors and some physical-chemical properties of crystalline microporous compounds and fast ion conductors. Between 2019 and 2020, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Theoretical Materials Science, Samara State Technical University. During that time, he participates in the development of the program (IonExplorer) for analysis of ion diffusion in fast ion conductors and online service (topcryst) for automatic identification of crystal structure topology. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Atomistic Modelling and Computational Studies group of Dr. Javier Carrasco, at CIC energiGUNE.
