Arantzazu Letona Elizburu obtained her degree in Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza in 2020. Arantzazu joined CIC energiGUNE in 2019 as a summer student for two months and a half. During this period, the evaluation of new non-toxic chelating agents for sodium and lithium batteries was carried out by means of solid and liquid nuclear magnetic resonance. Her degree project on functional models for oxygen activation was accomplished at the University of Zaragoza.

She is currently studying a Master´s Degree in New Materials at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) together with in the University of Cantabria and she has joined CIC energiGUNE in January 2021 to develop her master thesis, based on the optimisation of the three-phase limit in graphite-based cathodes for sodium-air batteries.
