Athira Mullakkal Ravikumar obtained her bachelor’s in Chemistry from Sri Vyasa NSS College and master’s from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. During her master´s, she completed her thesis on the organic synthesis of Indolocarbazole-based hole transport materials for perovskite solar cells.
She underwent a graduate training program under the guidance of Dr.Raman Vedarajan and Dr Sahana Moodakare in the Center for Fuel Cell Department of “ International Advanced Research Center for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials “(ARCI), IITM Research Park, India. In this training period, she worked on the recycling of polymer electrolyte membranes retrieved from PEM fuel cells and screened their properties for electrochemical applications and on different battery components like binder and electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries.
She joined CIC energiGUNE in November 2023 as a predoctoral researcher for the development of innovative quasi-single ion-conducting polymer composites and salts for alkali metal solid-state batteries.
