Begoña Acebedo received her BCs in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Basque Country, located in Leioa, in 2005. She made a master in Occupational Risk Prevention course about Quality, Environment and Safety Management. In 2007 she started working as responsible of area of Quality, Environment and Safety in Asfaltos Naturales de Campezo, S.A. where she took part into technical committees so as to develop a CE mark at state level. The results were published in the form of a monograph for “IV Congreso nacional de firmes Asefma”, which included key lines of action about CE marking. During this stage she leaded an I+D+I project about the use of steelworks slags as gravel, funding by Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa. In 2010 she started working as researcher in the Inorganic Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology (University of Basque Country), where she participated in different research projects. Her skills include synthesis and electrochemical characterisation of energy storage and conversion materials and is familiar with different characterisation techniques such as XRD, SEM, ICP, AE, TGA and FTIR. She is now working at CIC energiGUNE since January 2012 assisting different research projects related to electrochemical energy storage.
