Cristian obtain his BSc degree in chemistry by Universidad de la Rioja, in his Bachelor final project, he performed a bibliographic review where applications and principles of supercritical fluids cromatography were explained.
After pursuing a MSc in chemical science and technology by UNED, where he carried out another bibliographic review about synthesis and pharmacology of benzodiazepines, Cristian cursed another MSc in synthetic and industrial chemistry by UPNA. During this period, he completed two secondments in different laboratories. The first one, at CIC BioGUNE, in Derio, Bizkaia, where he worked in his Master final project about the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) in combination with molecular modelling metodologies to obtain information, at the atomic level, of different chemical systems of biological relevance. The second one was at the Faculty of Pharmacy of UPV/EHU, in Vitoria, where he worked in the synthesis of pharmacologically active molecules.
After that, Cristian joined the post-mortem analysis and battery aging group at CIC energiGUNE, where he works on determining the mechanisms and failure mode of various batteries.
