Javier Rodríguez finished his degree in Chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2021. His final thesis was developed at the Department of Organic Chemistry, where he carried out the synthesis of nitrogenated heterocycles by nucleophilic addition reactions under Barbier conditions to obtain highly functionalised heterocycles with indole skeletons. In the academic year 2021-2022 he completed a Master´s degree in Organic Chemistry at the same University, where he developed the synthesis of isocoumarins by means of an oxycyclisation reaction under mild conditions, using a 2-fluoropyridinium salt known as Yanai´s reagent.
In July 2023 he joined CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician in the Cell Design & Manufacturing group.
