JIAN XIANG LIAN

Presentation

In 2012, Dr. Jian Xiang Lian obtained the Master degree in Engineering in Applied Physics - Nanotechnology, at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), BELGIUM. From February 2013 to January 2017, he did his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Yoann Olivier and co-supervision of Prof. David Beljonne, in the laboratory for the Chemistry of Novel Materials (CMN) of Prof. Roberto Lazzaroni, at the University of Mons (UMONS), BELGIUM. His Ph. D was devoted to the theoretical description of “Graphene Nanostrips prepared from Controlled Functionalization of Graphene by Molecular Self-Assembly” using classical molecular dynamics, and ab initio quantum chemistry methods. From February 2017 to December 2017, he focused his research on room temperature ionic liquids and graphene interfaces. Currently, he is working as a postdoc researcher in the Theoretical Studies group of Dr. Javier Carrasco, at CIC energiGUNE.
