Jon Cereceda Garcia acquired a broad expertise in sampling and sample preparation for characterisation via a varied range of electrochemical, spectroscopic and gravimetric techniques and on the existing diverse methods of hydro and biometallurgic extraction.
He has participated as research assistant in projects mainly focused on strategic metal valorisation of lithium-ion batteries for critical raw material recovery, aluminium alloy separation in Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and end-of-life vehicles and the recovery of metals of interest through biolixiviation of different waste currents.
Additionally, he is part of the organising committee of the annual scientific dissemination Conference put together by the PRISMA ciencia association in order to give visibility to diversity in STEM.
