Kira Zhmud received her Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Power and Thermal Physics from ITMO University in 2021, where she developed a strong interest in Phase Change Materials (PCM). During her Master’s studies, she gained research experience in PCM integration for air conditioning systems and CFD modeling of liquid-solid phase change, presenting her work at conferences and competitions. In 2023, she received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the Decentralized Smart Energy Systems program at Université de Lorraine and Politecnico di Torino, specializing in hydrogen technologies and energy storage.
Currently, at CIC energiGUNE, she is working on her Master’s thesis, applying machine learning to Li-ion battery thermal management systems using shape-stabilized PCM.
