Maimunah completed her BSc in Applied Chemistry at Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. Her focus was mainly on inorganic chemistry, polymers and ionic liquids. In her final year, she did an intership at Nippon Paint, where she worked with the R&D department concerning water-based paint synthesis, analysis and optimization.
She was part of several organizations and events pertaining to energy, environment and youth during her undergraduate studies. Since 2022, she is pursuing an Erasmus Mundus master’s degree in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion (MESC+), having completed its first and second semesters at Warsaw University of Technology (Poland) and University of Paul Sabatier Toulouse (France) respectively.
She is currently doing a summer internship at CIC energiGUNE, dealing with postmortem analysis of Li batteries.
