Marta Díez graduated in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country in 2020. Afterward, she completed a Master in Advanced Materials Engineering at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Bilbao, which she finished in 2022. She started at CIC energiGUNE as an internship student while she was studying a master´s degree in industrial technologies research at the UNED. In April 2023, she joined CIC energiGUNE as a laboratory technician in the Organic & Hybrid Materials group.
