Dr. Mohamed Yahia has developed a comprehensive understanding of polymer and membrane science, from their synthesis and physicochemical interactions to their applications in separation, electrolytes, and electrochemical applications in electrocatalysis and sensing. He received his M.Sc. degree in materials chemistry in 2011 from the University of Cadiz (UCA), Spain. In 2015, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering under the framework of the EUDIME Program at the University of Montpellier (IEM-UM), France, in collaboration with the University Nova de Lisboa, Portugal, and the University of Calabria, Italy. After completing his Ph.D., he was promoted to Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University (HU), Egypt in 2016. He carried out research activities at the University of Pavia, Italy (3 months, 2017), University of Cadiz, Spain (3 months, 2017), and VISTEC Institute, Thailand (6 months, 2018). He then moved to Sweden as a PostDoc fellow at Stockholm University (1 year, 2018-2019) and later to Umea University as a PostDoc fellow (2 years, 2019-2021). Since January 2022, he has been an Associate Professor of Materials Chemistry at Helwan University (HU), Egypt. In April 2022, he moved to Spain as a PostDoc researcher at Zaragoza University, and later moved to the CIC energiGUNE Institute as an MSCA-IF PostDoc researcher. Dr. Yahia has won several scientific grants and prizes during his academic career and has published more than 30 articles in high-impact international journals.
