BASQUEVOLT and BCARE, the two spin-offs from CIC energiGUNE, the Basque research center of reference in electrochemical energy storage, thermal energy storage and conversion and hydrogen technologies, have been included in the “map of the Cleantech ecosystem in Spain”, prepared by ICEX together with El Referente. Both companies are included in the section dedicated to energy and have been highlighted for their impact in the battery sector.
"We have always been very clear that the development of business projects linked to the ´green´ economy has a much longer path than the rest, especially in a sector such as batteries," said Nuria Gisbert, general manager of CIC energiGUNE. "This recognition is an endorsement of our commitment to develop companies of value for our environment and its future challenges," she said.
The list made by the Institute of Foreign Trade gathers all the startups in the State that are helping to transform the production and operation system towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly model. BASQUEVOLT and BCARE share presence in this list along with 220 other companies that, according to the institution, stand out in "the future of the energy transition".
