Omar obtained the Degree in Chemistry from the University of Burgos in 2020. During this time, he developed his Final Degree Project in the Polymer Group, in which he worked on a polymer-based colorimetric sensor, used in the detection of antibodies. The monitoring of this sensor was carried out by means of spectrophotometry, while in the characterization of the polymeric material different techniques were used such as HRMN and CRMN, IR, ESI, DSC and TGA.
In 2021, he completed a Master´s in Advanced Chemistry specializing in New Materials, also at the University of Burgos. Similarly, his Master´s Thesis took place in the Polymer Group. This thesis was about a polymer-based colorimetric sensor, this time focused on the detection of amino acids. The monitoring and characterization of said sensor was carried out in a similar way as in the TFG, complementing the work with a complexation study for the different types of amino acids.
