Sandra de Matos graduated in Food Science and Technology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) in 2012. She completed her academic training with a Master in Integrated Quality Management Systems, Environment, R&D&I and Occupational Risk (2015) and a Master in Occupational Risk Prevention (2016).

Specialist in Occupational Health and Safety with over 7 years of experience in different companies and sectors, most of her professional career has been developed as a Senior Occupational Risk Prevention Technician at the Joint Prevention Service of Aciturri, a company in the aeronautical sector and aviation Tier 1 at European level.

Throughout her career she has focused on the preventive specialties of Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Psycho-sociology. She has experience in the development and implementation of integrated management systems in the fields of safety, health, and environment according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

In 2024, she is joining CIC energiGUNE as an Occupational Risk Prevention Technician, reporting to the Director of the Center´s People area.
