SONG Ziyu earned a B. Sc degree in Materials Physics and Chemistry (2018) from China University of Petroleum. The same year, he started research on the synthesis of fluorinated sulfonimide alkali metal salts under the supervision of Prof. Zhou Zhibin at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (China). In 2021, he carried out his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Zhang Heng through the Joint Master and PhD Program. His research focuses on the design of novel fluorinated sulfonimide alkali metal salts for long-life operation of alkali metal electrodes in solid-state batteries, and the in-situ micro/spectroscopy methods for investigating the plating of alkali metals in liquid/polymer electrolytes.
