Asier Urzelai has a degree in Psychology (1994) and a Master in Clinical Psychology (1996) from the University of Deusto. Human Resources specialist with over 20 years of experience in different companies and sectors developing, among others, functions of recruitment and selection of every type of profiles, diagnosis, development and evaluation of training plans, definition of professional itineraries, implementation of career plans and design of processes to motivate and recognize people. He is also an expert in labor legislation, conflict management and collective bargaining. In addition to that he is Senior Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention (Bilbao, 2001) in all specialties (Safety, Ergonomics and Psycho-sociology and Industrial Hygiene), and is accredited by the Basque Government to draft emergency and self-protection plans.

His last position was developed during 6 years at GAIKER-IK4 Technological Centre, being responsible for the processes of evaluation, motivation and recognition of people, and Occupational Safety and Health.

In October 2015 he joins CIC energiGUNE to develop Human Resources policies and since March 2016 he is working as People Manager and member of the Direction Committee of the Center, being responsible of the processes of Attraction and Development of Talent, Human Resources Administration and Health and Safety.
