June Blanco received her bachelor`s degree in Chemical Engineering in the University of the Basque Country (EHU-UPV). Before joining the CIC energiGUNE, for 5 years June worked at CIKAUTXO S. Coop, TIER 1 multinational dedicated mainly to the automotive sector, member of the MONDRAGON Corporation and specialized in the development and production of rubber and plastic components for a variety of different applications. During the first year she was part of CIKATEK, CIKAUTXO´s R+D unit where she worked in the development and characterization of polymeric materials. Later she worked as Quality Engineer in the “Mixing room” department of the company where the rubber material for producing the automotive parts is manufactured. In addition to the work done in the headquarters of the company she also was in charge of the quality assurance and continuous improvement of the “Mixing room” located in India. In January of 2019, she joined the CIC energiGUNE as Process and Project Engineer. Currently is focusing her work in the development of solid state battery prototypes in the Fabrication & Processing, proof of concept, prototyping group.
