Laura Lartitegui graduated in 2024 with a degree in Chemistry and Forensic Analysis from UPV/EHU. She began her research career at the Microfluidics Cluster of the same university, where she focused on the design and fabrication of microfluidic devices for the naked-eye detection of drugs in beverages, aiming to improve safety in social environments. This approach was the focus of her Bachelor´s project, titled "Chip-on-a-cup: Fabrication of a microfluidic device adaptable to night-life glasses for the naked-eye detection of ketamine," and her Master´s project, "Development of a microfluidic device for naked-eye detection of scopolamine in adulterated beverages."
Currently, Laura is starting her predoctoral research at CIC energiGUNE, focusing on the development of technologies to improve energy efficiency and move towards a more sustainable future.
