PIOTR DĄBROWSKI

Presentation

Piotr Dąbrowski obtained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Technology from Warsaw University of Technology in 2022. During his bachelor´s program, he focused on the synthesis of anionic polymer precursors based on 4,5-dicyanoimidazole and explored their electrochemical properties. Beyond his academic courses, he was actively involved in practical research. He worked with the Gawel Research Group as a laboratory researcher at the Institute of Organic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences (IOC PAS), where his primary responsibilities included synthesizing and analyzing organic memristor materials.

He obtained his master’s degree in 2024 as an international scholar through the Erasmus Mundus program, led by the MESC+ consortium. These studies focused on the development of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of materials for energy storage and conversion, offering all the necessary courses to deepen his understanding not only in molecule design but also in the analysis and characterization of the materials obtained. His master’s thesis secondment was conducted in collaboration with CIC Energigune, where he was tasked with developing synthesis methods and characterizing zwitterionic polymers for application in high-energy-density lithium metal batteries.

Piotr Dąbrowski is currently pursuing his PhD as part of the ENERCAP project, where he is responsible for the development of electrolyte and materials for high-potential (>4.5V) and high-temperature (>70ºC) lithium-ion capacitors.
