Dr. Yaroslav Grosu received his PhD in 2015 simultaneously from Université Blaise Pascal, France (in Physical Chemistry) and from National Technical University of Ukraine "Kiev Polytechnic Institute" (in Thermal Engineering). This work was dedicated to the investigation of solid-liquid interfacial phenomena under nanoconfinement for the benefit of energy storage applications. In 2015 he joined CIC energiGUNE focusing his research on the development of new materials for thermal energy storage applications. In 2016 he also worked as invited researcher at the University of California (USA) and in 2019-2020 at the University of Birmingham (UK) as an Ikermugikortasuna scholar. Since 2019 he leads the Thermal Energy Storage for Power Generation research line.
