Unai Lopez de Abechuco obtained a degree in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2022, with the mention of ‘Graduate with Excellence’. He carried out his Final Degree Project in the area of Organic Chemistry, with the synthesis of tricarbonyl compounds, by means of the domino reaction based on the cycloisomerisation of 4-pentinoic acid. In 2023 he completed his Master’s degree in Food Quality and Safety at UPV/EHU, where, among other things, he was able to study in depth the applicability of analytical techniques in the food industry and in which he developed the Master´s Thesis on food fraud in the coffee and tea industry.
