The XV edition of the Spanish National Meeting on Electroceramics, Electrocerámica 15, will take place in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) from 07-09 July 2021, being organized by the ´Ceramics for Electronics and Energy´ division of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass (SECV) in collaboration with CIC energiGUNE. Electroceramic materials and their applications are one of the most active branches in Materials Science. Likewise, they can be considered as the most visible exponent of the technology transfer process, with immediate applications on almost every engineering field: electronics and communications, manufacturing equipment, energy generation, storage and distribution, biotechnology, aerospace, automotive, security and defence.
The aim of the meeting is to stimulate all participants to share recent results, insights, questions and ideas on the advancement in the understanding and applications of electroceramics, covering all aspects: from bulk to thin films, powders, nanomaterials, hybrids and composites; from modelling, synthesis, processing and properties to applications and functional devices. The conference will cover recent advancements in:
- Dielectrics, ferroelectrics and piezoelectrics
- Pyroelectrics and electro-optics
- Magnetics, magnetoresistors and magnetoelectrics. Spintronics
- Ferroics and multiferroics
- LTCC and microwave dielectrics
- Varistors, actuators, sensors, transducers
- Electronic, ionic and mixed conductors and their applications
- Materials for energy generation, storage and conversion: fuel cells, batteries, capacitors, thermoelectrics, solar cells and catalysts
- Functional ceramics for biomedical applications
- Novel processing methods and manufacturing technologies of electroceramic materials and devices
