Dhrubajyoti Bhattacharjya recieved his M.Sc. Materials Science (Nanotechnology) in 2009 from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India and his PhD Materials Chemistry in 2016 from Korea University on the thesis entitled "Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured Materials for Electrochemical Energy Storage" His research works were focused on the application of mesoporous carbon, transition metal sulfide and transition metal oxide nanostructures for electrode materials for Li-ion battery and supercapacitor.

Before joining PhD program, he worked in Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Laboratory, India for two years, where he worked on electrodeposition of conducting polymer and metal/metal oxide nanomaterials. After finishing PhD, he worked in Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials, South Korea for one year, where he worked on fast and low cost reduction of graphene oxide using CO2 laser for supercapacitor application.

Currently he is working in CIC Energigune as Postdoctoral researcher in the Device Engineering group.

Reserch Interest:

Alloying and conversion chemistry in Li-ion battery, asymmetric supercapacitors, novel synthesis methods for graphene, mesoporous carbon and metal compounds for electrode applications, Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
