Our research activities focus on proof of concept, both at coin cell level and pouch cell level, tuning salts and additives in a polymer-based solid electrolyte in Li-S batteries. Study the effect of the quality of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) formed by different anion chemistries on the Li-S cell performance.
Moreover, we also work on formulation, processing, and optimization of the cathode, as well as an organosulfur active material, in solid-state Li-S batteries, aiming to increase sulfur utilization and cyclability.
We develop prospective activities on other metal-sulfur batteries chemistries such as sodium-sulfur batteries (Na-S batteries).
