Dr. Alexis Rucci completed his Ph.D. in 2015 at Universidad Nacional del Sur, Bahía Blanca, Argentina under the supervision of Prof. Walter Cravero entitled ‘Monte Carlo Dosimetry for Collimated Photon Beams’. Between 2016-2019 he worked as postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire de Réactivité et Chimie des Solides in Amiens, France under the supervision of Prof. Alejandro Franco. His activities were conducted in the framework of the European projects Porous4App (2016-2018) and ERC Artistic (2019) and consisted in the development of mesostructural resolved 3D and 4D models for li-ion battery electrodes using finite element methods. He also worked in the development of electrode reconstruction techniques using tomography and in-silico image data. Between 2020-2022, Dr. Rucci got a position of researcher at Ångström laboratory, Uppsala, Sweden under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Brandell. His activities were the development of a redox flow battery model using finite element methods in the framework of the European project CompBat.
Currently, he is working at CIC energiGUNE as a postdoctoral researcher in the Modeling and Computational Simulation group with Dr. Javier Carrasco. The main activities consist of the development of computational models at meso and continuum scales for rechargeable batteries.
