Marlo Angelo Tito finished his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of the Philippines. Here, he worked on his bachelor’s thesis on the nanomaterial reinforcement of thermoplastic starch films. In addition, he also had his summer internship at the photochemistry department of Tokyo Metropolitan University where he also worked with nanomaterials to study the fluorescence enhancement mechanism of dyes with nanoclays.
Later he went on to pursue a master’s degree in Decentralized Energy Systems where he is currently doing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree between Université de Lorraine and Politecnico di Torino. He chose “Energy-to-X: innovative pathways for energy storage” as his specialization track for this programme. This track focuses on the efficient generation, management and storage of renewable energy.
