Dr. S. Ramakumar obtained a Ph.D degree in Physics from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India under the supervision of Prof. Ramaswamy Murugan in the year 2014 after completing his M.Sc., (Materials Science and Technology) degree in 2008. His scope of research spans the field of Solid State Ionics and specializes on developing garnet structured electrolytes for solid state lithium battery application. He has authored research papers in highly reputed international publications. After completing his Ph.D., he was employed as a Research Associate with Applied Materials Pvt., Ltd, Bangalore, India from 2015 to 2017 with prime focus on developing electrode and electrolyte materials for all-solid-state batteries. Later in 2017, he worked as Young Scientist at Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Chennai, India for the start-up research grant sponsored by Science and Engineering research Board (SERB) in collaboration with Dr. K. Ramesha.
